October Note

Dance Technica's October Info
We hope you have all had a great first month of dance. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know and we will do what we can. We have a few reminders for everyone. Please make sure you read this note carefully.
The costume deposit is due by the 16th of this month. Please don’t forget. Also, just a reminder that tuition is due the first week of the month. After the 15th, you will be charged a $5 late fee. Please put your dancer’s name on the memo line of your check. If you pay with cash, please make sure you get a receipt. All tuition goes in the tuition drop box (unless you are paying with cash). It is located inside the studio right next to the door.
We will be having our Halloween class parties the week of the 26th. We would love to have all of our dancer’s wear their Halloween costume to each class. Please don’t forget. We do take a class picture of our dancing goblins.
We just wanted to say a big “thank you” to every one for doing a great job in wearing the correct clothes to dance. It has been great seeing each of our dancer’s dressed to dance. Just remember to make sure that your hair is pulled back out of your face and off your neck. Keep up the good work!
Each month we try to teach our dancers a new dance vocabulary word. The word for October is: Rond de jambĂ©. This means – round of the leg. It is an exercise that is usually done at the bar. Beginning in first position, the working legs moves in a circular motion moving to the front, side and back (en dehors) or reversed; back, side, front (en dedans). This is an exercise to turn the legs out from the hips, to loosen the hips and to keep the toe well back and the heel forward. Please ask your dancer to show you this step each week. Consider it her dance homework.
We have made a change to Wednesday’s schedule. It is now:
3:30 – 4:30 – Stars
4:30 – 5:00 – Beg. Hip Hop
5:00 – 6:15 – Diamonds/Divas
6:15 – 7:15 – Adv. Jazz
We hope this new schedule will continue to work for everyone and apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you understand the need to combine to two classes. If you have any questions or concerns about this new schedule, please contact Tori.
Thanks again to everyone for doing such a great job this past month. As always, we appreciate the support you give Dance Technica. You make it possible for us to do what we love. If you have any questions, please give Tori a call.
Sincerely,
